Kelly Preston opens up about her son's death

It's been three years since the death of Kelly Preston and John Travolta's son Jett, and the actress reveals in a new interview what's helped her heal.

Preston and Travolta lost Jett at age 16 to a seizure in 2009, a death that was "unfathomable," as Preston said recently on Lifetime's "The Conversation With Amanda de Cadenet."

"I've had enormous loss," Preston, 49, said. "Nobody should have to lose a child. It's unfathomable. But I'm here to say that you can get through it. You can live again. You can want to live again."

It was the support of friends and family members that helped Preston recuperate, she told host de Cadenet.

"People were so beautiful - so, so extraordinary from all over the world," said Preston, who also has a daughter, Ella Bleu, and a son, Benjamin, with Travolta. "Everybody grieves in their own way. I felt at times [that] I was drowning. It felt like a sea of wet blankets. And I just peeled them off, layer by layer, so that I can now [say], 'I want to live. I love life. My life is beautiful and amazing. I've got amazing children, and Jett is so much a part of my life."

She also credited the teachings of her faith for helping her stay strong.

"In Scientology, we have what's called 'auditing,' and that helps you to address things in your life and to strip them away and work through them," she explained on the show. "It's a path of spiritual enlightenment. Also, it helps rid the mind of painful experience completely."

Those at her church "literally held my hand and got me through," she said. "I will forever be indebted. You never forget, but I feel like the weight of the world was lifted."

There are certainly still tough moments, "but I am able to live," she added. "And to want to live. I can laugh. I'm - for the most part - happy. That's the greatest gift ever."

History Channel to honor 'Swamp People' star

The show that made Mitchell Guist famous plans to honor him.

In the wake of the "Swamp People" star's death earlier this week, the History Channel reality series will pay its respects to the show's late cast member on Thursday.

A publicist for the History Channel told CNN the show will "have an on-air tribute to Mitchell in this Thursday's episode."

The show centers on the lives of a group of Cajun alligator hunters in Louisiana's Atchafalaya Swamp, and Guist and his brother Glenn were popular cast mates on the series.

A planned Swamp Fest on Saturday in Lucedale, Mississippi, will feature two other cast members, Troy and Jacob Landry.

Shelton Echols, corporate service manager for Farmers Supply Co., who are organizers of the festival, said there are still discussions as to whether there will be recognition of Guist at the event.

"At this point, we really haven't been able to process it," Echols said. "It's all just happened."

Autopsy results for Guist are expected on Wednesday.

Rare Abbey Road photo up for auction

A rare photo showing the Beatles walking the "wrong way" across Abbey Road is expected to fetch big bucks at an auction later this month.

The version on the band's 1969 Abbey Road album shows them walking from left to right, but John Lennon leads the group from right to left in the picture up for sale May 22 by Bloomsbury Auctions, The Guardian reported.

Other differences are likely to tantalize Beatles fans. On the album cover, Paul McCartney has bare feet, but in this shot he is wearing chunky sandals. The cigarette, which he holds on the album version, is either missing or hidden, according to The Guardian.

The rare image is one of just six taken during a 10-minute photo shoot by the late Iain Macmillan outside Abbey Road studios in northwest London. It is expected to fetch up to $14,000, according to MSNBC.

"The photo has been called an icon of the 1960s. I think the reason it became so popular is its simplicity. It's a very simple, stylised shot and is a shot people can relate to," Sarah Wheeler of Bloomsbury Auctions told The Guardian.

The image is one of 25 chromogenic prints made at the time and is being offered by a private music memorabilia collector.

Jay-Z motivated for time with Blue, not new music

Forget new music - Jay-Z's focused on being a new dad.

The hip-hop mogul is so enamored by his infant daughter Blue that he's taking the focus off recording for the time being to spend more time with her.

The MC told CNN that he's actually kind of surprised by his own decision to be a stay-at-home-rapper for now.

"I thought I would be really motivated with all the things happening and all the change, with a child in my life now, to get back in the studio," he said. "But I find that I'm really just motivated to just be with her."

And he's relishing every moment with his baby girl.

"Fatherhood is fantastic, it's amazing," he said. "It's a real surreal thing, the joy that someone has at four months old. I know it gets better, and it's an amazing feeling."

Hov added to MTV that when he does hit the booth again, fans should expect to hear songs as expressive and insightful as "Glory," the emotional tune he wrote about his daughter as soon as she was born.

"My music has always been like that," he said of the sentimentality of his lyrics. "If you listen to 'Glory' and you listen to 'Regrets,' which was on my first album, side by side, it's exploring the same sort of emotions. It's just one deals with my mom, one deals with my daughter. My music has always been filled with those sort of emotions."

As we noted Monday, Jay-Z's set to headline a two-day music festival, which he's also curated, over Labor Day weekend in Philadelphia.

Autopsy results on Mitchell Guist, a star of the reality TV show "Swamp People," should be ready Wednesday, a local sheriff in Louisiana said.

A cause of death has not yet been determined.

Guist, 47, was working to build a houseboat when he appeared to have a seizure and fell backwards in his boat, said Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack.

He was with another person on the Intercoastal Waterway, about 75 miles from New Orleans, at the time of his collapse.

That person, who did not want to be identified, got Guist back to a boat landing, performed CPR and called his wife, who in turn called 911, said the sheriff.

Guist was transferred to the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City, where he was pronounced dead Monday.

Daniel Wiltz, with the St. Martin Parish coroner's office, declined to comment on the autopsy except to say that it was pending.

"Right now, we're thinking about him almost every minute," said Brian Catalina, executive producer of "Swamp People." "We've lost a really important part of our family and a treasured friend."

"Swamp People" is the popular History Channel TV series that chronicles the lives of alligator hunters.

Now in its third season, the series is set in Louisiana's Atchafalaya Swamp, and focuses on Cajun alligator hunters during the 30-day hunting season that the History Channel notes is "crucial to their survival."

Guist appeared on the show alongside his brother, Glenn Guist.

"The two were inseparable. These guys were born in the same house that they both still lived in, up until yesterday. They were two peas in a pod for sure. Neither had ever married. They were just as brothers as you could be," said Catalina on Tuesday.

Soon after news of Guist's death broke, tributes began pouring in on the brothers' official fan club Facebook page.

"RIP Mitchell you were one hell of a swamp man and inspired people like me. Prayers go out to Glenn and the Guist family. May his legacy live on," read one.

"May the king of the bayou welcome you home," read another.

Kim Kardashian has been seen spending quality time with Kanye West lately, so does that mean we should expect to see him on her family's E! reality show?

The 31-year-old tells E! Online that fans will just have to wait and see when the seventh season of the hit show debuts this Sunday.

"I want to show my life," Kardashian assured E's Marc Malkin when asked whether she'll keep it real for the cameras, including letting viewers in on her love life.

"If we are having dinner and he does show up, I'm sure we're not going to go, 'Stop the cameras!'" the soon-to-be divorcee said. "At the same time, I'm not going to be taking a bubble bath and drinking champagne or on a sex swing like Khloe and (her husband) Lamar (Odom)."

Well, one up-close-and-personal place West has already reportedly been spotted was Kim's sister Kourtney's baby shower over the weekend.

According to E!, West was joined by Khloe's husband at the "Hamptons"-themed fete Kris and Bruce Jenner reportedly threw for Kourtney at their home on Saturday.
