Paradise Afshar

Digital Editor

Paradise Afshar joined Local 10.com in February 2016 as a digital editor.
Prior to joining the Local 10 News digital team, Paradise was a freelance reporter for the Miami Herald, where she covered several Miami-Dade County municipalities, along with health, faith and the local Middle Eastern community.
Paradise launched her journalism career as a crime reporter for the Bradenton Herald, where she covered her share of wacky Florida stories in Bradenton, including one about a mullet tossing contest -- the fish, not the hairstyle.
Paradise interned at the Miami Herald throughout college and graduated from Florida International University with a double major in mass communication and international relations in 2010. Five years later, she received a Master of Arts in Middle Eastern and Mediterranean studies from King's College London.
Paradise is a proud fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and has an assigned chair at the Starbucks she frequents.
