MIAMI – There was a celebration of books and literacy Thursday morning at the iPrep Academy in downtown Miami.
Volunteers with the United Way's Reading Pals program, including Local 10's very own Janine Stanwood, read "Three Little Pigs" to pre-kindergarten students. There was even a musical rendition of the book strummed by a guitarist.
Stanwood and other volunteers read to select kids every week.
