The next season of ABC's "The Bachelorette" begins filming next month, and the show's star told People magazine that it's all starting to sink in.

"I'm scared to death," Emily Maynard, 25, said.

This will be the single mom's second attempt at finding true love on reality television.  Maynard's last experience on "The Bachelor" ended with an engagement to Brad Womack that eventually fell apart.  Her heartbreak was so severe, Maynard swore she'd never go through the experience again.

"I genuinely meant that," Maynard said.  "I feel like the biggest hypocrite because I said that and now I'm doing it."

But after months of contemplation, Maynard said the show can be successful.

"I know it can work.  I fell in love the first time and no, we didn't end up getting married, but in the end just falling in love, for me, is a success."

"The Bachelorette" begins filming in March in Charlotte, North Carolina, a first for the show that has always filmed in California.

Maynard wanted to be close to home where she raises her 6-year-old daughter Ricki.
