Fans will get to see singer Adele perform at this year's Oscars.

The Grammy-award winner will be singing "Skyfall," the theme song she helped co-write for the latest James Bond film with the same title at the Academy Awards.  She is nominated for best original song.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences couldn't keep their excitement and announced on Twitter Wednesday, "Best 4 Words Ever: Adele Performing At #Oscars."

"Skyfall" has already won Adele a Golden Globe for best original song.  She was present at the awards show earlier this month to accept it in person.

Her appearance was the first one in public since the British singer gave birth to her son.  The last time Adele performed in the U.S. was during last year's Grammys where she walked away with six awards for her album "21."

Adele is up against "Before My Time" from "Chasing Ice," "Everybody Needs a Best Friend" from "Ted," "Pi's Lullaby" from "Life of Pi," and "Suddenly" from "Les Miserables."

The Academy Awards will be presented Sunday, Feb. 24 on Local 10.
