Justin Bieber was preparing for a "big night" on Friday as he celebrated turning 19, but it seems his party plans soon went south.
"Worst birthday," the pop star tweeted on March 1, hours after sharing his excitement for the evening to come.
Reports suggested that there was an issue with Bieber trying to bring Will Smith's 14-year-old son Jaden along for the ride to a London nightclub.
Yet Smith tweeted that he didn't hang out with his 19-year-old pal, posting Saturday that he "Gave Justin His Cartier Then Went Home."
And on his Instagram account, Bieber told his side of the story.
"The funny moment when people believe I brought underage people to a club.. U think Will is letting his 14 year old in a club, I don't think so," Bieber wrote. "I love how the club wanted to give the press another reason to why we didn't stay at their weak ... club so they wouldn't look bad for me walking in and right back out."
It seems his "worst birthday" reference didn't have anything to do with the venue at all, but rather the treatment of his fans.
His tweet "was due to dummies pushing over my fans and being overly aggressive," he clarified. "Btw it wasn't the worst bday cuz all my friends from back home flew in I was just mad in the moment."
The rest of the weekend was apparently brighter for the Canadian singer, who thanked fans for their support on Sunday.
"Sometimes u just wanna vent and not be quiet. I love my fans though. Just gonna chill with friends. London shows this week. It ain't always easy but is what it is. Gonna stay focused." he wrote. "I see and saw all the posts from around the world. U got me smiling. Love u. Thank u."
