Week eight of "Dancing With The Stars All-Stars" sent two celebrities packing, just one week shy of the semi-finals.

Actress Kirtie Alley was the first to be eliminated on Tuesday night's results show, and she was all smiles.

"I learned more about dancing, believe it or not," she said, and thanked and her professional dance partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy. "He's so patient with me and he's so helpful to me and I just love dancing…"

Actor Gilles Marini and his professional partner Peta Murgatroyd were next.  Marini was a fierce competitor and was in the middle of the leader board, but apparently failed to get enough fan votes.

"I tried my very best," he said, adding that Murgatroyd was "an angel out there, teaching me amazing things."

Returning next week to perform in the semi-finals are Olympian Apolo Ohno, actress Kelly Monaco, NFL legend Emmitt Smith, Olympian Shawn Johnson and TV personality Melissa Rycroft.

Each remaining celebrity will be dancing a style and theme picked by each other.  Their choices were: Surfer Flamenco, Knight Rider Bhangra, Big Top Jazz, Mad Monk Merengue, Espionage Lindy Hop and Caveman Hustle.
