Ellen DeGeneres lands pilot on ABC
DeGeneres to executive produce comedy starring Portia de Rossi

Portia de Rossi will star in a pilot for ABC, produced by her longtime partner Ellen Degeneres, reports Entertainment Weekly.
The project, called The Smart One, stars de Rossi as a successful woman who reluctantly starts to work for her less-intelligent sister, a former beauty queen-turned mayor.
Donald Todd, former writer for Samantha Who will write the pilot.
DeGeneres will executive produce along with Lauren Corrao for Warner Bros. Television.
No word yet on when the pilot will premiere.
