Wedding bells will soon ring on "Good Morning America!"

Weather anchor Sam Champion and boyfriend Rubem Robierb announced their engagement Friday on GMA's website.

"We are thrilled and so excited and thank everyone for their good wishes,” says Champion.

The couple met through mutual friends in Miami where Robierb lives and works as a fine-arts photographer.

The official ceremony is scheduled later this year in New York with a big party to follow in Miami New Year's Eve.
