U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headline 2012 Lauderdale Air Show

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the Fort Lauderdale Air Show April 28-20, 2012.

The Thunderbirds are the U.S. Air Force's elite aerial demonstration team.  The 130-person squadron is currently in its 57th year touring.

"We are honored that the Thunderbirds have awarded us a date on their 2012 schedule," said Bryan Lilley, president of the Lauderdale Air Show.

Along with the Thunderbirds, the four-hour lineup features some of the best civilian and military acts in the nation, including the GEICO Skytypers, the Black Diamond Jet team and 2011 Freestyle Aerobatic World Champion Rob Holland.

The show is free from the beach, and premium tickets are available for $30.
