"It's tough, but it is what it is,"  Simpson said.

No amount of fairy dust could save them, but they were able to perform their samba to "I Can't Wait To Be King" from "The Lion King."  They scored 34 out of 40 points.

Monday night also saw the first perfect score of season 18.  That went to actor and singer James Maslow who danced contemporary to the hit song "Let It Go" from the film "Frozen."

It brought tears to judge Carrie Ann Inaba.  "What I saw here was absolute artistry .. I did not expect this from you. Congratulations," Inaba said.

Also scoring big was reality star and actress NeNe Leakes who got four 9s, the extra from guest judge and former season 9 winner Donny Osmond, for a total of 36 points for her foxtrot to music from the film "101 Dalmatians."  The judges praised her by saying it was her best dance of the season.
