Jay Z/Timberlake S. Fla. concert still on

"Legends of the Summer" tour to play Sun Life Stadium on August 16

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. ā€“ Despite reports that both Jay Z and Justin Timberlake have joined a Florida boycott over the state's "Stand Your Ground" law, organizers of the duo's concert at Sun Life Stadium on August 16 insist that the show will go on.

Many popular entertainers have joined Stevie Wonder since the Grammy-award winning singer announced last week that he would not play in Florida until the state overturned the controversial law that allows residents to defend their property without an attempt to retreat.

An executive affiliated with the "Legends of the Summer" tour says that the stop in South Florida will go as planned. The concert at Sun Life Stadium is scheduled to be the final stop on the tour.

Neither Jay Z or Timberlake have made any public statements in regards to joining the boycott.

Despite more than 20 states having laws similar to Florida's, the Sunshine State is the only one being targeted to those participating in the boycott.

Wonder made his announcement in Canada a day after George Zimmerman was found not guilty in the death of Trayvon Martin.
