Miami International Boat Show sets sail Thursday

Event runs through Monday

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The annual Miami International Boat Show began Thursday on Virginia Key.

The showcase is expected to bring in more than 100,000 boating enthusiasts to the area, and this year, organizers are deploying new modes of transportation to make sure the event runs seamlessly.

New free water taxis, shuttle buses and extra parking are being brought in to accommodate everyone wanting to attend this year, organizers said.

Parking will also be made available at the American Airlines Arena, Bayfront Park, the W Hotel in Miami and the Hyatt.

This year's event runs from Thursday to next Monday at Miami Marine Stadium Park & Basin located at 3501 Rickenbacker Causeway.

One-day tickets will cost $40 per person, two-day tickets will cost $45 and five-day tickets will cost $100.

The event will run every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
