'Dirty Dancing' shimmies back into theaters this weekend

Moviegoers will have time of their lives celebrating 30th anniversary

PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. – "Dirty Dancing" is celebrating its 30th anniversary on the silver screen this weekend.

The 1987 romance starring Jennifer Grey and the late Patrick Swayze will return to select theaters throughout the country, including South Florida, for two showings Saturday and Wednesday.

"Dirty Dancing" tells the story of 17-year-old Baby (Grey), who falls for a dance instructor (Swayze) while vacationing with her family at a Catskills resort. Baby soon becomes his pupil in dance and love.

Moviegoers will have the time of their lives revisiting the often-imitated dance routines of Swayze and Grey. The film's soundtrack includes "Hungry Eyes" by Eric Carmen and "(I've Had) The Time of My Life" by Bill Medley and Jennifer Warnes.

There will be two screenings of the film at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. on both days in theaters from West Palm Beach to South Miami. Click here for a complete list of theaters and to buy tickets.
