KODIAK, Alaska - South Florida's Pitbull is reportedly heading out of the 305 for a surprise trip to Walmart in Alaska. The question is, when?
The "International Love" rapper, also known as Armando Christian Perez, posted an altered picture of himself on Twitter Friday, sitting inside a car with a bear and snow capped mountains in the background, in anticipation of his trip.
Pitbull agreed to take part in a contest with Walmart allowing fans to decide which store in the country he should visit.
David Thorpe, a writer for the Boston Phoenix weekly newspaper, encouraged fans on Facebook to send him to the most remote Walmart in the U.S. After 70,000 "likes," the winner was Kodiak, Alaska, a town of 6,100 people.
"You got to understand that I will go anywhere in the world for my fans," the "Give Me Everything" rapper said in a YouTube video released this week.
The actual date of the visit has not been released, but it is expected within the coming weeks.
This would be the first time Pitbull has visited the state known as The Last Frontier. He is expected to spend time with Walmart employees and the community. There's no word if a concert is also planned.
