U2 to play Hard Rock Stadium in 2017

MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. – Mega-group U2 is heading out on tour in 2017 and will travel to South Florida over the summer.

The band's Joshua Tree Tour will hit Hard Rock Stadium on June 11.

The tour will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the U2's iconic fifth album. The band will play the entire album at each date, along with other hits from their hall of fame career.

The North American leg of the tour opens May 12 in Vancouver, and will travel to 17 other cities before heading to Europe. The band will also play the Bonnaroo Music Festival for the very first time.

Tickets for all stadium shows, including South Florida, are scheduled to go on sale Jan. 17.

OneRepublic will open the show at Hard Rock Stadium.
