FWC officers help newlyweds find missing wedding rings at South Florida park

Couple loses rings during wedding celebration in Dania Beach

DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Two newlyweds were able to find their missing wedding rings thanks to the help of two wildlife officers at a South Florida park.

A wedding ceremony and reception was held for the couple after hours at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach when they lost their rings. Luckily for them, two Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers were patrolling the park.

Lt. Lindsay McDonald and Officer Christian Ariza noticed several wedding guests looking in the sand with flashlights in the dark.

Using a rake they borrowed from a park ranger, McDonald and Ariza found one of the rings. They were able to provide a detailed description of its location, leading to the discovery of the other two rings.

The FWC praised the officers Friday in a Facebook post.
