MIAMI – Every girl dreams about her wedding day, but how many brides plan their big day with a dozen other couples?
That's exactly what happened at Trinity Church in Miami.
Last month, the church offered a free wedding ceremony to as many couples who wanted to participate. Miami residents Chantal and Evens Milcete decided to get hitched in the mass wedding
"Everyone has their wedding. They say, 'I was the queen diva.' But to me, mine was the best because I had to share it," Chantal told Local 10's Constance Jones.
Chantal says it was very stressful getting ready with eleven other brides at the same time, but she said it was worth it to see Evens' face when she walked down the aisle.
"When I saw them coming, it was like I was a totally different person," Evens said. "That's when everything changed."
Before the couples could say "I do," they each went through pre-marital counseling with Pastor Rich Wilkerson.
"We believe in marriage," Wilkerson said. "We believe God ordains it. But many people believe they just can't make it happen."
Not only was there a ceremony, but a full reception, complete with the toast and first dance.
This is not the first time the Trinity Church has done a mass wedding for their church. Last year, they married over 23 couples.
They plan to offer these free weddings for their members every year.
