Firefighters say one man died and another was injured when fire broke out in a bungalow style house.
Crews arriving at the St. Petersburg home Wednesday evening, found a man who appeared to be suffering from smoke inhalation in the front yard.
The Tampa Bay Times reports the man was conscious when he was taken to Bayfront Medical Center.
Firefighters say heavy smoke and 20- to 25-foot flames were coming from the back screen-in porch. They eventually worked their way inside, where they found the body in the porch area.
The man's name has not been released.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.
