MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A man was shot and killed during a home invasion early Monday morning in northwest Miami-Dade County.
The shooting occurred shortly after 4 a.m. at Venetian Gardens, 18111 NW 68th Ave.

Miami-Dade police said a man was sleeping when an intruder entered his home.
A confrontation ensued, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
The intruder was pronounced dead at the scene, while the resident was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center in stable condition. Their identities haven't been released.
No other information was immediately available.
