Man killed, 3 women injured in head-on collision on Hollywood Boulevard

Cause of crash under investigation

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. – A man person is dead and three women were injured after a head-on collision on Hollywood Boulevard, just east of S.R. 441 Thursday morning.

According to investigators, around 5:30 a.m. an SUV and gray Nissan collided at Hollywood Boulevard and North 57th Avenue.

Those inside the SUV, identified as Bernon Lincoln, Elorelle Chalich and Lashawndrell Jefferson, along with Cira Garcia inside the Nissan were taken to the hospital.

Police said Lincoln, the 59-year-old driver of the Montero SUV, died at the hospital. The condition of the other victims is not known.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, but police said it appears that one of the vehicles was traveling in the wrong direction in the westbound lanes on Hollywood Blvd.

All lanes of Hollywood Boulevard reopened just before 9 a.m.
