MIAMI-DADE, Fla. – One person is dead after an accident on the Palmetto Expressway, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the incident involving one vehicle happened Wednesday evening on the expressway at Northwest 17th Avenue in northwest Miami-Dade.

The westbound lanes of the expressway were shut down because of the accident.
