One man was killed and another was injured after a shooting outside a northwest Miami-Dade County nightclub.

The shooting happened outside Club Lexx off Northwest 27th Avenue just before 11 p.m. Friday.

"The security guard just up and fired," said Tanya, a witness.

Tanya works at the club and said the pair got into a fight with the security guard, who was later seen being questioned by detectives.

She added that the security guard was the one who pulled the trigger.

"They were just coming out of the club so I know they weren't armed," said Tanya.

Tanya said before patrons going into Club Lexx are checked and scanned for weapons.

A truck in the parking lot was riddled with bullet holes as police tried to find out what started the fight.

"I don't know exactly what he said to them when they first came out, but he made them very upset," said Tanya.

The gunman was detained for questioning, but at this point police have not said if anyone has been arrested.

The person who was injured is in stable condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
