WEST PARK, Fla. -

One person was killed and three others were injured in a crash in West Park, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

The crash happened after 10:30 a.m. Friday in the 4200 block of Southwest 20th Street.

Deputies said Dottie Streater, 52, was driving west on Southwest 20th Street with her sister, Evelyn Streater-Tisdale.

Streater's Chevy Lumina was crossing the intersection of 20th Street and 42nd Avenue when deputies said the car was struck on the passenger side by a Dodge Caliber, driven by 21-year-old Scarlett Herrera.

Herrera's car was headed south on 42nd Avenue with Ricardo Ruiz, 21, in the passenger seat.

Fire rescue crews took all four people to Memorial Regional Hospital where Evelyn Streater-Tisdale was pronounced dead, deputies said. Ruiz, Herrera and Dottie Streater were treated for minor injuries.

The fatal crash is under investigation.
