1 killed in Miramar home invasion
Police release few details
One person was killed inside a Miramar home late Saturday night, and police say it was part of a botched home invasion.
Miramar police were called to that house on the 6100 block of SW 27th Street after gunshots were reported. That's where one man was found dead.
Police say that man was the suspect in the home invasion robbery and he was shot by someone who was visiting the home at the time.
That person's identity is not being released at this time.
When officers arrived on the scene they saw a gray Honda leaving, but were able to stop it a few blocks away on the 6200 block of Miramar Parkway. The occupants were detained for questioning, but police have not yet said how or if they were involved. Traffic in that area was redirected for hours.
It is unknown if any arrests have been made.
