10 rescued after boat capsizes
Girl, 1, hospitalized as precaution
A family riding in a boat near a barrier island was rescued late Saturday after it capsized.
Miami Fire Rescue said 10 people went overboard, including five children.
The family wrapped themselves in blankets to protect themselves from strong wind gusts after coming ashore.
"They didn't have any shoes on. They were just wet. They looked like they were going to cry," said one witness.
Fire Rescue said the youngest child, a 1-year-old girl, was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
One man injured his knee when the boat capsized.
Rescue crews also searched for two dogs but they were not found.
Witnesses said the boat looked to be too small for the number of people onboard.
Fire Rescue is investigating.
