Truck stolen from construction site in Coral Springs

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – A South Florida business owner is offering a $10,000 reward for the return of a stolen dump truck.

Omar Amritt learned the 15-ton, five-axle vehicle was missing on the morning of April 11 from a construction site in the 12000 block of Northwest 39th Street in Coral Springs.

The truck is valued at about $27,000, but Amritt is offering the reward out of his own pocket.

"They'll get the money -- $10,000 -- no questions asked," Amritt said.

The theft is the fourth such incident on the property that Amritt and his cousin use to store construction vehicles and heavy-duty equipment.

Coral Springs police are examining surveillance video from nearby businesses, but so far no clues have been captured.

Residents with information on the missing truck are being urged to contact Coral Springs police.
