The incident came just three days after Richard Petik, 40, was fatally shot, allegedly at the hands of a South Florida doctor in a love-triangle dispute.

According to an incident report, the victim and another sibling were arguing with their younger brother about whose turn it was to wash the dishes.

The siblings said the teen grabbed a knife and stabbed his brother in the hands and legs, leaving large lacerations.

Police said the victim tried to grab the knife from his brother, and said the suspect also suffered knife cuts to both his hands.

Authorities notified the brothers' mother about the incident and she took the victim to Mt. Sinai Hospital to be treated for his wounds.

The suspect was also taken to Mount Sinai Medical Center and was later released and taken into custody by police.

The boy faces a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
