13-year-old daughter of The Spot manager among those shot, authorities say

Tiffany Johnson, 31, appeared in traffic court Thursday on unrelated charge

MIAMI – The 13-year-old daughter of the manager of The Spot was among those shot Sunday morning, authorities said.

Tiffany Johnson, 31, appeared in Broward County traffic court Thursday morning in an unrelated case for driving with a suspended license. She made her first appearance in traffic court Wednesday morning.

Both times she refused to speak with reporters.

"Tiffany, 15 people shot inside your club. Is there anything you would like to say?" asked Local 10 News reporter Michael Seiden. "Do you have any remorse about 15 people being shot inside?"

Johnson gave no response.

Johnson was arrested by agents with the Division of Alcoholic Beverages and Tobacco on Tuesday after three bottles of liquor were found behind the bar of the Miami club. The bar is only licensed to sell beer and wine.

Club owners were also cited for several safety code violations during the impromptu inspection.

The Spot was hosting a teen night Saturday night into Sunday when 15 people were shot.

The intended target of the shooting, 15-year-old Trevon Simmons, is the only victim who remains in the hospital. He is listed in critical condition.

The traffic charge against Johnson was dropped Thursday.
