15-year-old girl from Cooper City missing for a week

Erin Arno suffers from personality disorder, depression, deputies say

COOPER CITY, Fla. – The Broward Sheriff's Office is searching for a 15-year-old girl from Cooper City who was reported missing a week ago.

Authorities said Erin Arno was last seen about 10 p.m. April 7 sleeping at her home in Cooper City.

"We're worried. We want to make sure that she's OK," her father, Lee Arno told Local 10 News.

According to deputies, Erin suffers from a personality disorder and depression and is in need of her medication.

Her father and stepmother fear the worst if she doesn't return home soon.

"Men trying to feed off of her, honestly, men taking advance of her," Jodi Osman Arno said.

The Arnos said they didn't notice anything unusual about Erin's behavior the night she went missing. In fact, they said they were all out celebrating her sister's birthday before she disappeared.

"It's very frustrating not knowing where she's at, it's tough (and) we have a hard time with it," Lee Arno said. "I don't sleep well at night. My daughter's not home. It's really difficult on us."

Since then, her parents have been on the quest to find her.

"It's like looking for a needle in a haystack," Lee Arno said. "Where do you look? Where do you begin to look?"

Erin is 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighs about 115 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with information about her whereabouts is asked to call Detective Chris Blankenship at 954-321-4268 or Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
