150 pigeons stolen from southwest Miami-Dade County business

3 birds died while being taken, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – The Miami-Dade Police Department continues to investigate a commercial burglary in which 150 pigeons were stolen from a business.

The burglary happened about 1 a.m. March 3  at 4595 SW 127th Ave.

Police said three men jumped over a chain link fence onto the property and pried open two doors to steal the birds.

Three of the birds died while being taken.

Police said the pigeons were returned to the owner several days later.

Anyone with information about the burglary is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
