Man Captured After Throwing Bullets Out Of Car

Suspect Treated For Minor Injuries, Police Say

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. -- A man is under arrest after throwing bullets out of a car, and then leading police on a chase through North Miami.

Police were able to capture the suspect near Northwest 159th Street and 22nd Avenue

The incident began when a Miami-Dade Schools police officer approached the man sitting in his car at Opa Locka Elementary.

Police said the man took off and started throwing bullets out of the car window as he drove away.

The man was treated for minor injuries by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

In addition to bullets, officers said they found a semi-automatic weapon inside the car.
