Two teenage brothers are recovering after they were injured when shots rang out in the parking lot of Wet 'n Wild water park in Orlando.

Orlando police spokeswoman Barbara Jones said a brawl escalated to gunfire outside the water park Sunday.

The two injured brothers -- 18-year-old Michael Roosevelt and 16-year-old Marlin Laguerre -- were hospitalized, but officials said their injuries aren't life-threatening. Roosevelt was shot in the leg, and Laguerre was injured in the mouth, possibly by a flying rock, Local 10 reported.

The parking lot was where Orlando police said the shooting happened after teens from rival high schools began to argue, but the initial incident happened inside the park, when dozens of teens jumped an officer who was trying to make an arrest, according to Jones.

Two of the buses were searched by police, and a loaded .22 caliber handgun was found in the bathroom of one of the buses.

The students were part of a XtremeTrips excursion to the Orlando theme park.

Salisia Brown was among those on the trip.

"I was maced, I couldn't see. I was kicked," said Brown.

Wet 'n Wild spokesman Mike Black said some members of a large group "had become unruly" while visiting the park.

"Our security team worked closely with the Orlando Police Department to remove the unruly individuals as a precaution," Black said in a statement, adding that the incident is still being investigated.

No arrests have been made in the shooting, but a 17-year-old was charged with misdemeanor assault and interfering with an investigation.
