UPDATED: 9:48 am EDT April 14, 2008

One man is dead and another was injured during a shooting inside a Miami nightclub.

The shooting happened at 3:15 a.m. Monday inside Studio A, at 66 Northeast 11th St.

"There were four shots. I blacked out. I was under the bar," said a bartender, who told Local 10's Kellie Butler that her first name was Natalia.

Miami police said a man inside the bar pulled out a gun and shot one man in the leg and killed another.

It's unclear if the two men who were shot were the intended targets, Butler reported.

Darnell Parker, 22, of Northwest Miami-Dade, was identified as the man who was shot and killed.

"Obviously, after the shots were fired, everybody started running," said Miami Police Detective Willie Moreno.

Moreno said in the confusion and chaos of people running out of the club, police were not able to get a good description of the gunman.

Police remained on the scene Monday morning, and said they are still working with witnesses to get a description of the person who shot the two men.

The motive behind the shooting is unknown.
