POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- The decomposing remains of an unidentified woman who was killed in Pompano Beach nearly 25 years ago have been identified.

Broward Sheriff's Office homicide detectives said fingerprints taken from the victim's body and resubmitted to the FBI in April belonged to 22-year-old Tina Moore.

Moore's body was found shortly before 9 a.m. Sept. 13, 1983, in a wooded area in the 1900 block of Northeast Fifth Avenue. Pompano Beach police believed the victim had been dead for about three days.

She was never reported missing and the body was never positively identified.

Homicide detectives believe Moore, who lived in Pompano Beach, may have been a dancer at an area gentleman's club.

At the time of her death, Moore was wearing three small silver earrings -- a three-leaf clover in her right ear and a horseshoe and mushroom in her left ear. Moore also had a homemade tattoo of a bunny head on her lower right abdomen.
