Police looking for third suspect after burglary in Fort Lauderdale

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Police arrested two men accused of stealing almost $21,000 worth of camera equipment from a Fort Lauderdale camera repair store.

A police officer said he heard an alarm sounding about 4 a.m. Friday on Commercial Boulevard.

The officer said he saw two men running from the rear of the Camera Clinic. The officer tried to stop them, but authorities said they jumped into a car and took off.

According to police, the officer followed the vehicle. Fabian Suarez, 28, and Carlos Ramirez-Martinez, 23, both of Miami, were arrested after a foot chase with deputies. 

Police said the mens' vehicle contained numerous stolen cameras, various burglary tools and cocaine.

The stolen camera equipment, valued at $21,000, was recovered by deputies and returned to the store owner, according to police.

Police said that a third suspect was seen running from the crime scene.
