DANIA BEACH, Fla. – Two South Florida men were arrested last week after they attacked a man who was dressed as a pirate and pointed a gun at his head, threatening to kill him, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.
Ahmed Othman, 24, and Muhamad Ahmad, 22, were arrested Wednesday on charges of aggravated battery with a firearm, battery and false imprisonment.

According to the arrest report, the victim was walking along Sheridan Street in Dania Beach dressed in a pirate costume, complete with black clothing and a beard. This caught the attention of Othman, who said "it scared him," the arresting deputy wrote in the report.
So Othman and Ahmad armed themselves, warned a security guard that there was a pirate outside and drove around looking for the swashbuckler, eventually catching up with him in the hallway of his apartment building, the report said.
Both suspects pulled out their guns and pointed them at the pirate's head, ordering him to the ground and pinning his arms behind his back, the report said.
The suspects then ordered him not to move or they would "shoot him in the head," the report said.
In a sworn statement, the victim claimed "he dresses as a pirate around this time each year for entertainment and that he was walking home to fix his costume" when Othman and Ahmad attacked him.
