DANIA BEACH, Fla. -

The Broward County Sheriff's Office says two people were burned after a boat caught fire at a South Florida dock on Saturday.

Fire investigators say 47-year-old Freddy and 11-year-old Daniel Gonzalez were hurt when a 19-foot cabin cruiser caught fire at the Harbour Towne Marina in Dania Beach.

Officials said the boat caught fire while it was docked at the fueling station at the marina.

Daniel Gonzalez was treated at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital and released.

Freddy Gonzalez was critically injured and transported Memorial Regional Hospital. He was later airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Witnesses said the flames spread quickly. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
