MIAMI - Miami Fire Rescue crews are working to cap two major natural gas leaks Wednesday, authorities said.
Miami Fire Rescue spokesman Ignatius Carroll said both gas leaks were reported shortly before 10:30 a.m. at a construction site at 770 W. Flagler St. and at a road construction area at 100 SW 21st Court, where a gas leak was reported just a week ago.
Carroll said two units are at the first scene, and a hazmat unit is at the second scene. He said the hazmat unit requested the Fire Department's Technical Rescue Team to come respond to the scene because of the depth and water in the area of the pipe.
It's unclear when the leaks are expected to be capped.
