Robbers swiped items while victims walked to their vehicles

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Two men were arrested Tuesday after Miami-Dade police said they robbed at least three people in parking lots since June 24.

Hubert Braham, 35, and Darris McInnis, 25, were arrested shortly after a robbery that took place in a bank parking lot on Tuesday, police said.

The victim had just withdrawn $400 from a Chase Bank in the 9800 block of Northwest 41st Street  when approached by a vehicle and struck in the arm.

McInnis then got out of the vehicle, approached the victim and snatched the envelope from his hand, the report said. He then attempted to hit their victim in the face, before taking off in a vehicle that was driven by Braham.

Miami-Dade police spotted the vehicle within seconds of the incident, and were able to arrest both McInnis and Braham.

The pair were also charged in connection with two other robberies.

The first incident happened on June 24 when the victim had just left a Bank of America in the 10000 block of West Flagler Street when she was cut off by a sedan driven, a police report said.

The victim was pushed to the ground after a struggle and her property was taken.

On June 25, the victim had to stop at a bank before arriving to work at First Choice Auto Parks in the 18900 block of Southwest 109th Avenue.

That’s when Braham got out of the driver’s seat -- which caused the victim to stop walking -- and McInnis opened the front passenger seat and snatched the victim’s property, a police report said.

Hubert was arrested on charges of strong armed robbery and robbery by sudden snatching. He is being held without bond.

McInnis was arrested on charges of strong arm robbery and robbery by sudden snatching. He is being held on a $30,000 bond.
