MIAMI -

Police responded to separate but simultaneous 911 calls Wednesday evening at approximately 7 p.m. about a male that had been shot.

Police arrived to 230 Northeast Avenue at 55th Terrace to find a young, black male with multiple gunshot wounds, lying on the ground in front of an apartment.

Around the same time, police were arriving to 125 Northeast Avenue at 56th Street to find another man who had suffered gunshot wounds.

Both victims were transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Unit in serious condition.

It is unclear at this time whether or not the shootings are related or whether they may have taken place in one location.
