1 robber fires at victim while fleeing in delivery truck, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – Police are searching for two men who robbed two BrandsMart delivery workers and four others at a home in northwest Miami-Dade County.

The home invasion was reported Thursday in the 2100 block of Northwest 42nd Street.

According to Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Marjorie Eloi, the workers were delivering merchandise to the home when they were ambushed by two men wearing masks. Eloi said one of the robbers was also armed with a handgun.

According to Eloi, the robbers forced their way into the home, ordering the two deliverymen and four others inside the home to the ground.

Eloi said the men robbed the victims of their money and cellphones.

One of the robbers fired at the victims before they fled in the delivery truck, Eloi said.

No one was injured.

Both robbers are described as black men who are between 20 to 30 years old. One of the men was wearing light blue jeans, a gray hooded sweatshirt and a red bandana covering his face.

The delivery truck is a white 1997 Isuzu FTR with right quarter panel damage and the BrandsMart logo on its side. It's license plate number is EABL97.
