2 homes in Pier Pointe development in Pembroke Pines damaged

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. - As severe weather rolled into South Florida on Friday, two Pembroke Pines homes were damaged in a lightning strike.

Pembroke Pines fire responded to 12060 NW 13 Street just after 3 p.m. to investigate the smell of smoke inside a single family home.

One home sustained damage to its roof, electrical components and a window.

A second home sustained a broken window and other minor damage.

No one was injured.
