2 students transported after taking Molly

MIAMI BEACH, Fla. – Miami Beach Fire Rescue transported two Fienberg/Fisher K-8 Center students suffering from overdoses Tuesday afternoon.

The school is located at 1410 Washington Avenue.

Miami-Dade County Public Schools spokesman John Schuster said the 14-year-old boys took Molly, a drug similar to ecstasy.

Both teenagers were transported to Mount Sinai Medical Center. They were conscious but complained of a rapid heartbeat, said Schuster.

The incident happened on campus just classes were ending.

The school board will investigate where the teenagers got the drug and whether they should be suspended.
