2 taken to hospital after Hialeah Gardens crash

At least 1 victim extricated from vehicle

HIALEAH GARDENS, Fla. – Two people were injured in a crash Monday morning in Hialeah Gardens.

The crash was reported shortly after 6:30 a.m. at Northwest 122nd Street and Hialeah Gardens Boulevard.

A view from Sky 10 showed a car wedged between a tractor-trailer and a utility truck.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said two people were taken to Palmetto General Hospital and then airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. Their conditions were not immediately known.

At least one person had to be extricated from one of the vehicles.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
