The transport program is one of many ongoing initiatives the Animal Services Department has implemented to save as many lives as possible. In just over one year more than 2,000 of their shelter pets have found forever homes across the country. The transport program is supported in part through generous grant funding provided by the ASPCA as well as local groups, including Miami Dogs on the Move.
