25 dogs get new homes
The pups were sent to five different states this morning
25 dogs from Miami are being united with new families today. Animal Services in collaboration with seven partnering animal rescue agencies located in New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio and South Carolina made the journey possible.
The animals departed from Comfort Kennels, located at 235 W 25 Street in Hialeah this morning and boarded planes to their new towns.
The transport program is one of many ongoing initiatives the Animal Services Department has implemented to save as many lives as possible. In just over one year more than 2,000 of their shelter pets have found forever homes across the country. The transport program is supported in part through generous grant funding provided by the ASPCA as well as local groups, including Miami Dogs on the Move.
