2nd man charged in motel murder

Terry Nealy charged with 1st-degree murder

NORTH MIAMI, Fla. ā€“ Police arrested a second suspect accused of murdering a man at a Motel 7 in November.

Police on Sunday arrested 22-year-old Terry Nealy and charged him with first-degree murder. He was denied bond Monday.

Nealy confessed that he and Anthawn Ragan Jr. shot and killed Luis Perez on Nov. 1., police say, though Nealy said "he lying, man" when the public defender mentioned Ragan. They left in a 1999-2000 model, dark colored Nissan Maxima sedan, and police continue to look for the getaway driver.

Ragan, 19, has also been charged with killing 10-year-old Aaron Vu at his family's nail salon during an armed robbery. North Miami also charged him with robbing Arnold's Royal Castle.

Miami-Dade police have also begun interviewing Nealy to see if he was involved in the robbery at the nail salon. Court records show past arrests for robbery and grand theft.

Anyone with information on the driver in the motel murder is asked to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
