MIAMI - A man fleeing from police rams his SUV into another car, leaving car's driver in critical condition.
According to police, around 7:15 a.m., officers were responding to a reported home robbery at 3521 N.W. 79th Street. Moments after they arrived at the scene, an officer saw an SUV leaving the area and pulled the driver over.
The officer ordered the driver and passenger out but they refused, revved their engine and hit the police cruiser, investigators said.
The officer shot at the pair and one of the bullets hit the driver. The passenger bailed and ran while the driver sped away in the SUV.
Minutes later, the SUV hit a white 4-door sedan just down the street at N.W. 79th and 32nd Avenue. The injured driver, then ran from that scene but was later caught by police.
The driver of the white sedan was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
The man shot by police also sent to the hospital and is recovering. Police say he will also be arrested.
