HOMESTEAD, Fla. – Three soldiers were injured Thursday during a regularly scheduled proficiency jump at the Homestead Air Reserve Base, Lt. Col. Lincoln of the 478 Civil Affairs Army Reserve Unit of Perrine Battalion said.
Miami-Dade Fire Rescue officials said the victims suffered head injuries during the jump.

Cellphone video taken by a bicyclist near the base shows a group of paratroopers jumping from a plane. It's unclear whether the soldiers who were injured were among that group.
Fire Rescue officials said one person was airlifted to Jackson South Community Hospital and another was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center.
One person was taken to Jackson South by ambulance.
Lincoln said only one of the injured soldiers is a member of the 478 Civil Affairs Army Reserve Unit and the others are with other units.
The soldiers' conditions and identities have not been released.
